Full-time training with Founders and Coders.
Your apprenticeship will last for at least 15 and up to 18 months from starting the training through to completing end-point assessment. There are key dates to be aware of, and this timeline details the apprentice journey.
12 weeks
Full-time training with Founders and Coders.
12 months
Join your employer full-time. Work on real projects and build experience. Document your work in a portfolio of evidence. Regular reviews with your employer and Founders and Coders.
3 months
EPA can be started anytime within a 3 month period. The window opens 12 months from starting the training. To ensure the apprenticeship is complete within 18 months, you must be ready for gateway by the 15th month.
2 weeks
Gateway begins when you submit your documentation (portfolio, project summary, and qualifications). It ends with the assessment organisation signing off on your project.
Note: it is not guaranteed that you will get through Gateway, you may need to amend your project proposal if the assessors do not feel it is of adequate scope to meet the criteria.
9 weeks
Work on your project and write the report. You must submit the report within 9 weeks, or receive an automatic fail.
2 weeks
Your assessments will usually be scheduled within 2 weeks of submitting your report. Once you have completed these and received your results your apprenticeship will officially be complete!

You submit documentation for Gateway 12 months after starting training. The latest date in this example would be 3 months later: 10/04/2024.
24/01/2024
Your gateway request is approved and you can begin your final project
26/03/2024
9 weeks later, you submit your project report.
09/04/2024
Within the next two weeks: both assessments are scheduled and you attend both sessions.
12/04/2024
Your results come back from the assessors, you have officially completed the apprenticeship! 🎉
